CleryEdge is actively maintained and updated throughout the year. Updates typically include improvements to usability, security monitoring, reporting capabilities, and workflow tools that support campus safety and compliance teams.
Customers receive regular system updates, and detailed release notes are available to active users through the CleryEdge Support Center.

Development Practices

We follow a structured software development and release process designed to maintain system reliability, security, and regulatory compliance. Key development practices include regular system updates and usability improvements, ongoing vulnerability monitoring and security assessments, and continuous monitoring of system performance and security posture.

Fall 2026 Updates

  • Streamlined Incident Reports with a redesigned Assessment page and assessor management in Settings, plus improved reliability when saving related records.
  • Expanded CSA training support with the ability to record in-person sessions alongside online training, more predictable training invitations, and standalone hosted training pages.
  • Strengthened the Fire Log with a publication record showing when each report was added and by whom, confirmation before a report is removed, and more accurate dates and statuses in lists, exports, and printed reports.
  • Improved Missing Students workflows with support for a pending determination, and fixed an issue that could prevent a required determination from saving.
  • Enhanced LLEA outreach with automatic status updates as letters are sent and deadlines pass, more accurate sent-date tracking, and updated letter templates with new standardized variables.
  • Refined Trip Tracker with support for longer, more descriptive trip names and improved date accuracy.
  • Added Change History across many modules, giving institutions a clearer audit trail of who changed what and when.
  • Standardized Bulk Upload across six modules and added a “Who will receive this?” preview so recipients can be confirmed before a message is sent.
  • Improved ASR reporting accuracy for crimes occurring on year-boundary dates, and made replies to emails sent from CleryEdge go to the sender instead of a no-reply address.

Summer 2026 Updates

  • Refined Geography tools with a modernized, more consistent interface, improved agency filtering, and fixes to redirect and display issues in agency and record management.
  • Enhanced Trip Tracker with bulk upload support for adding multiple trips at once, improved participant visibility for solo trips, and more reliable delivery of policy acknowledgment notifications.
  • Improved Campus Security Authority (CSA) management, including clearer indicators for records with training history, refined status filtering to surface incomplete assignments, and fixes to record creation workflows.
  • Strengthened platform accessibility to better align with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, including improved color contrast and keyboard navigation.
  • Added a clear active-filter indicator to data grids throughout the system, making it easier to see at a glance when a filter is applied.
  • Expanded audit logging and record change tracking across the platform.
  • Standardized status colors and terminology platform-wide for a more consistent experience.
  • Improved outreach letter tools, including automatic defaults so senders reliably receive a copy of outreach communications.
  • Enhanced incident and crime statistics reporting with fixes to filtering and required-field saving behavior. Added category-based organization to task management tools.
  • Continued behind-the-scenes performance, reliability, and data-validation improvements across the platform.

Spring 2026 Updates

  • Expanded LLEA outreach tools, including automated status progression, improved letter template variables, enhanced address handling for international agencies, and expanded customization options for outreach letters.
  • Improved Incident reporting with bulk upload support for date and time ranges, a new location field on the Timely Warning Assessment tab, and a built-in compliance check when associating crimes with non-reportable geographies.
  • Enhanced CSA management tools, including improved bulk upload reliability, improved duplicate detection, expanded active/inactive filtering for messages and assignments, and richer options for quiz descriptions.
  • Improved data grid filtering and added address columns to the LLEA outreach grid to help administrators locate and manage records more quickly.
  • Added a shortcut in Geography to submit new agency requests without leaving the module.
  • Expanded audit logging and record change tracking across the platform.
  • Updated email reply routing so that replies to CleryEdge system emails reach the intended user rather than an unmonitored address.
